As one of the eight winners representing higher education institutions among all the Wuhan institutions and enterprises involved in foreign affair management, Hubei University of Technology (HBUT) International Office was awarded the honorary title “Excellent Administrative Organization for International Affairs in 2011” by the Exit & Entry Department of the Wuhan Public Security Bureau. Amy Long, deputy director of the International Office participated in the ceremony and accepted the prize on behalf of HBUT, March 15, 2012.
Over the recognition ceremony, officers from the Exit & Entry Department reported the figures of registered overseas students and foreign faculty members in Wuhan, which indicated the international development trends of the city, and explained the remedies for accidents and preventions of security hazards regarding foreign affairs. Representatives from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Jianghan University respectively shared their experience in foreign affair management.
In recent years, with the special attention of HBUT leaders and the assistance of relevant administrative departments, HBUT foreign affair management has been dramatically improved. Quality international joint education programs are in full vitality, each boasting a unique strength. The number of recruited foreign teachers has tremendously increased. A scientific and systematic review and evaluation mechanism has been developed. A well-established and coordinated foreign affair management system is being formed. The remarkable progress HBUT has made is highly recognized and acclaimed by the Hubei provincial administrative departments.
